SKANDIA, Mich. - Clifton K. Jasper, age 72, of 239 East M-94, Skandia, entered eternal life Monday, January 7, 2013, at Marquette General Hospital, in the loving, comforting care of his family.
Cliff was born October 12, 1940 in Battle Creek, a son of Harold and Lorna (Samis) Jasper. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator with General Motors for 22 years and, following retirement, moved to the Marquette area in 1999. Cliff was a member of Marquette Masonic Lodge 101, Scottish Rite Bodies, York Rite Bodies, Ahmed Shriners, Chapter 403 Order of Eastern Star, and the West Branch Sportsman's Club. He loved his children, grandkids, and feline pal, Bella, and especially enjoyed the time spent with all of them. An avid woodsman, he enjoyed all that nature and the area outdoors had to offer.
Cliff is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy (Judd) Jasper; two daughters, Pam Bogaerts of Skandia and Peggy Brisbane-Noblit of Flint; a son, Kevin Jasper of Beaver Grove; his grandkids, Amber (Mi-chael) Viirre, Joshua (Bryanna Black-ard) Wojtkiewicz, Mark (Kris) Wojtkiewicz, Adam Brisbane, and Jennifer Jasper; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Cliff was preceded in death by a grandson, James; and sister, Cheryl.
Friends may call at the Fassbender Funeral Home on Friday, January 11, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Masonic services will be held in the funeral home at 11:45 a.m., followed by memorial services at 12:00 noon with Captain Joel Arthur, of the Salvation Army, officiating.
