Girl Scout cookie program begins

January 9, 2013
The Mining Journal

MARQUETTE - The 2013 Girl Scout Cookie Program will return Friday to northern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula and run through March 24 with door-to door sales in January and February. Troops will host cookie booths in March.

All girls in kindergarten through 12th grade may still join Girl Scouts to take part in the Cookie Program, making them eligible for numerous events, trips and programs throughout the year. Girls do not need to join a troop to participate in Girl Scouts.

The cost of Girl Scout cookies is $3.50 per box, with proceeds going to support local Girl Scout programs. For more information, call 800-246-4171 or visit www.girlscoutcookies.org
