MARQUETTE - Luke Johnson and Whitney Stilwell paced Marquette Senior High School at the eight-team MSHS Invitational held at Marquette Mountain on Friday.
Johnson finished second in the boys slalom in a two-run combined time of 1 minute, 24.9 seconds, and came in third in the giant slalom in a combined time of :58.66.
For the girls, Stilwell was third in the slalom in 1:31.3 and fourth in the GS in 1:01.5.

The Marquette boys finished second overall with 72 points, winning the slalom and coming in third in the GS. Petoskey won the overall title with 47.5 points, while Traverse City Central was third with 90.5. The next best finish by an Upper Peninsula team was by Houghton in fifth with 155.
Team standings from the girls meet weren't available on Friday night.
Marquette had several other top individual finishers on Friday.
For the boys, they included Nick Weber with top-10 finishes in both GS (fourth) and slalom (sixth), Joe Weber coming in third in the slalom, and Dylan Larson with top-20 finishes in the slalom (ninth) and GS (20th).
Among the girls, the Redettes' Hanna Johnson was seventh in the GS and 12th in the slalom, Sam Ziegler 15th in both the GS and slalom, Angela Brown 13th in the GS, Maggie Guter 29th in the slalom and 32nd in the GS, and Hannah Lahti 30th in the slalom and 38th in the GS.
