MARQUETTE, Mich. - Nancy Jean (Schultz) Premeau, age 68, of 1610 Altamont Street, Marquette, Michigan entered eternal life Tuesday evening, December 18, 2012, at her home, in the loving care of her family.
Nancy was born December 12, 1944, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, a daughter of Raymond and Genevieve (Perhai) Schultz. She graduated from Escanaba Area High School in 1963 and moved to Marquette where she attended St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing. Her career as a registered nurse was a reflection of her passionate and caring personality. She blossomed helping those less fortunate than herself. Nancy married Clifford Wayne Premeau in 1966 and began raising a family. She was a devoted wife and mother. She always ensured her children were nurtured and loved. She was a wonderful mother who encouraged and supported her children in all the activities they were involved in. She never missed her son's hockey games or her daughter's dance recitals and gymnastic meets. She also played an integral role in the management of the family apartment complexes.
Nancy had a strong faith in God and passed this on to her children and grandchildren. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, volunteering for many years throughout the church. Nancy was also involved in the deaf community as she was the daughter of deaf parents.

Additionally, she had a very artistic side to her. She enjoyed painting and making other unique projects, such as her beautiful Easter egg collection, which she thoroughly enjoyed with her grandchildren. She loved to sing and was a member of the Sweet Adelines International for several years. Nancy's biggest joy was spending quality time with her children and grandchildren. She will now have her special place as an angel, looking down on her loving family. Nancy was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by many, especially her children and grandchildren.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 44 years, C. Wayne Premeau; a son, Peter (Michele) Premeau; a daughter, Wendy Premeau (fiance Corey Hanycz); four grandchildren, Jessica, Nicholas, Hannah and Alyssa Premeau, all of Marquette; two brothers, Wally (Karen) Schultz of Munising and Wesley (Barb) Schultz of White Lake. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the First Presbyterian Church on Saturday, December 29, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 noon. The Rev. Nicholas Cammarata, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church, 120 N. Front Street, Marquette, MI 49855.
