Lions KidSight program offered

December 19, 2012
The Mining Journal

Stephen Herman, Marquette Lions Club member and Northern Michigan University pre-optometry student, photographs the eyes of a 4-year-old student at St. Christopher's Preschool in Marquette as Lions Club President Lin Dembowski looks on. The process is called Lions KidSight and uses a special camera that can detect potentially serious vision problems in young children. The photo screening camera is owned by the Lions of District 10 and is used throughout the Upper Peninsula. For more information, visit Marquettelionsclub.org or call 360-7747.
