HOUGHTON - Four players led by junior Austin Armga scored in double figures as the Michigan Tech men's basketball team defeated previously undefeated Hillsdale 73-55 at home on Saturday.
Armga scored 16 points and grabbed a career-high eight rebounds. Senior teammate Ali Haidar added 14 points and 13 rebounds. The backcourt of junior Alex Culy and sophomore Ben Stelzer finished with 10 and 11 points, respectively.
The Huskies, who led 33-19 at halftime, held the Chargers to 32 percent (7 of 22) shooting in the first half. Tech (5-2 overall, 3-1 GLIAC North) made 47 percent (24 of 51) from the field, 86 percent (18 of 21) on free throws and outrebounded the Chargers, 34-26.
