MARQUETTE, Mich. - Mary Lola Kent, age 88, of 1600 Mill Creek Court, Marquette, entered eternal life Thursday evening, December 6, 2012, at Marquette General Hospital, from an apparent heart attack, in the loving, comforting care of her family.
Mary Lola was born September 17, 1924 in Rose Hill, Virginia, the daughter of Ramon and Grace (Payne) Revilla. Following graduation from high school, Mary Lola entered the work force and in 1952 married Joseph C. Kent III who was serving in the US Air Force. The couple resided in several locations, wherever Joe's duty assignments took him, retiring from K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base in 1974. They raised two daughters and Mary Lola settled into her role as wife, mother, and homemaker. She later returned to college, studying psychology and writing for three years at Northern Michigan University. Mary Lola was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Jane (Don) Ryan and Susan (Craig) Pascoe both of Marquette; her five grandchildren, Christine (Ike) Beltran of Appleton, WI, Adrianne Flaska of Marquette, Peter Flaska of Minot, ND, Tony Pascoe of Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands, and Whitney Pascoe of Marquette; four great-grandchildren, Asher and IzaBella Beltran, Jazmine Flaska, and Bella Kerry; three brothers, Charles (Erna) Revilla of Houston, TX, Martin Revilla of Big Stone Gap, VA, and Gale (Ruth) Revilla of Morganton, NC; several nieces and nephews. Mary Lola was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, in 1982.
