MARQUETTE - Twin brothers Carson and Colin Vanderschaaf, 7, of the Killer Whales qualified for the YMCA state championship meet in the 25-yard breaststroke Nov. 10 at the Ironwood Invitational held at Gogebic Community College. Carson edged his brother, going the distance in 24.66 seconds. Colin recorded a 24.94.
Also making the state cut for the YMCA of Marquette County was Archer Olson, 8, with a 19.67 in the 25 butterfly.
