Conflict resolution talk at NMU

MARQUETTE - Iyad Burnat from Bil'in, Palestine will visit Marquette Nov. 19-23 as part of a 26-city U.S. tour. He will offer a presentation at 7 p.m. Monday at Northern Michigan University in the Erie Room of the University Center. The program will be appropriate for mature middle schoolers through senior citizens.

Burnat's message is about awareness, understanding, and his non-violent approach in resolving conflict while working with Jews, Christians, Muslims and all who seek freedom and fair treatment.

The program is sponsored in part by Citizens for Peace & Justice, North Country Greens, and the Social Action Committee of the Marquette Unitarian Universalist Congregation.
