To the Journal editor:
After the election, I've been gleefully watching the reactions of the right-wing pundits on Fox News and listening to right-wing radio. I can sum them up with one word. Pathetic. Yes, I'm one of the 47 percent that wants stuff.
I want good qualified teachers. I want a great elite military. I want cops, firemen, well-groomed roads and safe bridges. I want safe water and safe food. Actually there is so much I want, I can't list them all.
How about secure prisons and well paid corrections officers. Unlike big oil, big pharmacy, big banks, insurance companies, they don't want anything. That's why they pay armies of lobbyists because they don't want anything.
If Republicans want to win elections, they need to change the process. The right-wingers dominate the primaries. They seem to like insulting windbags as their nominees.
They had one good qualified candidate in Jon Huntsman and he only got 1 percent of their vote.
Barack Obama won the election. Get used to it. G.M. is alive and Bin Laden is dead. Hooraw!
