William Jesse LaTourneau

November 14, 2012
The Mining Journal

MARQUETTE, Mich. - William Jesse LaTourneau, age 60, of 323 Center Street, Marquette, entered eternal life Sunday evening, November 11, 2012, at Marquette General Hospital, where he had been a patient for a day.

Born November 28, 1951 in Marquette, a son of William A. and Thelma M. (Ingison) LaTourneau, Bill was raised in Marquette and was a lifelong resident. Bill's lifetime passion was cars - they were a source of recreation, obsession, and enjoyment for him. Fortunately, he was able to combine that passion with his work experiences and, throughout the years, was employed in mechanic and auto body work with many local auto repair businesses.

He did everything where cars were concerned, from building, restoring, tuning, and painting, and was an expert car buff. Bill's other interests included hunting, fishing, playing pool, playing golf, and, of course, an occasional drag race, whether organized or spur of the moment with friends.
