Marquette Hockey Central Pee Wees go 1-2-0

MARQUETTE - The Marquette Hockey Central Pee Wee hockey team went 1-2-0 the weekend of Nov. 9-10.

Hockey Central opened its weekend by defeating the Wells Fargo girls 14U team, 11-1. Leading the way was Jon Jason with five goals and two assists.

Collin Fure added a goal and four helpers; Gaetano Cammarata recorded two markers and an assist; and Tim Muladore chipped in a goal and two helpers.

Also, Tre Locke posted a goal and an assist; Braedyn Locke notched a goal; and Karsten Kamps collected three assists.

Scoring for the girls was Lexi White, with assists going to Lexi Anderson and Paris Wegleitner.

Picking up the win in net was Soren Higgins with nine saves; Briana Holman stopped 29 shots for Wells Fargo.

On Nov. 10, Hockey Central suffered an Iron River weep, 3-0 and 3-1.

In the shutout, Evan Hedtke of host Iron River was in goal.

In the afternoon game, Jason picked up Marquette's lone tally, with assists going to Cammarata and Locke.

Higgins was in net for both games, making 38 saves; Hedtke had 35 stops.
