Marquette township names trustees

MARQUETTE - In Marquette Township, four incumbents retained their trustee seats in Tuesday's election.

The incumbents winning included Democrats Lyn Durant, Danny Pompo, Dianna Truscott and Republican Jerome "Pete" LaRue.

LaRue was the top-vote getter with 1,081; Pompo had 1,071 votes; Durant had 1,014; Truscott had 929. Additional candidates included Republican David Weigand who had 875 votes; independents Daniel R. Everson, who got 703 votes and former trustee Linda L. Winslow, who got 735 votes.

The term of office is two years.
