He will be missed

October 30, 2012
The Mining Journal

To the Journal editor:

Donald Papin was a kindly man who died from injuries he sustained in an accident. He was going to the laundromat when he was hit by a vehicle. Drivers beware of any obstruction in your field of vision, so you can prevent a tragedy like Donald.

When you get behind the wheel, always be aware of your surroundings and expect the unexpected. Donald will be sadly missed. He had no blood ties but family ties by those who had known him for 40-plus years.

He lived on Jefferson Street on the Hulverson property. It was his home. He was best friends and comrades with Joe Hulverson. They spent quality time together. Donald was a dear friend to many, but he was family to us.

His absence will be felt deeply. We love you, Donald.
