Rights violated

October 28, 2012
Charlie Anderson, Ishpeming , The Mining Journal

To the Journal editor:

I address this letter to the woman who was witnessed pulling up my campaign sign on Lakeshore Drive in Ishpeming on Oct. 11 and replacing it with a sign for my opponent in the District 4 County Commissioner race, Gerry Corkin of Negaunee.

A concerned citizen with obvious knowledge of the first amendment to the constitution and awareness that the willful taking of anothers property is committing a crime promptly reported your juvenile act to the Ishpeming Police Department.

It is doubtful that our local police department will ever recover my stolen property but I wish to offer you a reward for the safe return of my campaign sign (and the removal of the opposing sign that you replaced it with). For the safe return of said sign I shall provide you with a copy of the First Amendment for your edification.
