MARQUETTE - Marquette County Treasurer Anne Giroux was recently elected by her peers to serve on the board of the Michigan Association of County Treasurers.
Giroux will initially serve as treasurer of the association and will be scheduled to become president in 2017.
Established in 1934, the Michigan Association of County Treasurers provides educational and professional growth opportunities for county treasurers, encourages efficiencies in county government and is proactive in state legislation and regulations that affect county government, property tax collection and treasury management.
