Schools receive dental kits

October 18, 2012
The Mining Journal

Pictured displaying Transport a Tooth kits are, from left: Gretchen Lakenen, registered dental hygienist; Piper Lakenen, Father Marquette School student; Nick Young, Bothwell Intermediate School student; Brittany Zhulkie, Northern Michigan University student; Tyler Govern, Bothwell student; and Kent Jenema of Peninsula Pharmacy. The Superior District Dental Society recently purchased the kits from Peninsula Pharmacy, which participated by selling the kits at cost. The Marquette County Health Department Dental Outreach Program distributed the kits to area schools. The kit is used if a student has a tooth accidentally knocked out.
