Don’t split ticket

October 13, 2012
John Braamse, Marquette , The Mining Journal

To the Journal editor:

I have talked to several people who have said they plan on supporting at least one Democratic candidate, but they are not sure about supporting others.

The key to promoting the policies and issues that will move our country forward is to vote straight party for all the Democratic candidates.

Voting for Obama and then voting for a Republican down the ballot can only harm his ability to promote the issues our country so desperately needs.

When you vote, vote for Obama, Stabenow, McDowell, Kivela and every other Democratic candidate by simply filling in the Democratic oval on your ballot.

And remember to vote for McCormack, Kelly, and Johnson for the Michigan Supreme Court and Cheryl Hill for Probate Court.
