August 30, 2012
The Mining Journal

Master Gardener Chantal Niven, left, of Big Bay presents Dianne Bennett of Big Bay Health Camp, also a master gardener, with $1,300 from the recent Big Bay Garden Tour. The funds will continue to benefit the garden program for the boys and girls camping at Bay Cliff Health Camp, which is under the direction of Bennett. In the background is a raised vegetable garden, the efforts of spring campers. With the proceeds, Bennett plans to add more raised beds that are designed to be at a suitable level for wheelchair patients, a better watering system and additional adaptive garden equipment for use by the handicapped campers.
