:MARQUETTE - The Marquette Area Public Schools Board of Education will look to vote on new contracts for three of its employee unions during its regular meeting Monday night.

The meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m. inside Room 210 of the Graveraet School.

The board will consider ratifying contracts for the Marquette Educational Support Personnel Association Unit 1, which represents custodial, maintenance, food service and transportation workers; MESPA 2, which represents clerical staff, aides, teaching assistants and lunch supervisors; and the Marquette Area Building Administrators, which represents building principals and administrators.

The unions prior contracts expired June 30. Those contracts included step increases, but provided no base salary increases for any union members.

In other action, the board will consider naming the United Way of Marquette County a Charitable Solicitation Organization for 2012-2013 and will also examine its own operating procedures, as well as other districtwide policies.
