Waara perfect at the plate in victory

In Class A action, Courtney Waara went 5-for-5 and Jayda Johnson added two hits to lead IRACORE to an 15-10 win over PC Medic.

Katie Erspamer rapped out three hits and Megan Coombs chipped in two triples for PC Medic.

Cliffs Natural Resources knocked off Hickey's, 18-13, as both Kaylin Marshall (triple) and Elissa Hermes went 3-for-4 for the winners. Teammate Nikki Schultz added two home runs.

For Hickey's, Deanna Makela slammed a home run.

Brandi Logan collected three hits - including a triple and a double - and Mary Niemi chipped in two safeties as Buck's Party Store edged TeePee Bar, 6-5.

Trudy Duquette posted three hits, two of them doubles, and Bethy Williams added two safeties for the losers.

Jasper Ridge Brewery I got three hits from Amber Emanualson in a 10-8 win over Jubilee Foods. Erika Roberts (home run) and Alyssa Chapman of the brewery contributed two hits apiece.

For Jubilee, Cathy Bertucci went 2-for-2.

Congress blasted Paradise Bar, 14-1, behind four hits by Tina Nelson, including a home run. Teammate Nikki Whitford chipped in three hits.

Maria Stanaway (triple) and April Lawer both went 2-for-2 for Paradise.

Crossfit 906 outlasted Rookie's Too-Quality Car Care, 21-15, as Lizzy VanBuren went 6-for-7 and Kim Koski belted two homers en route to the cycle. Sheri Hewitt (four) and Nikki Richer (three) combined for seven more hits for Crossfit.

For Rookie's-Quality, Gina Debelak went 4-for-5 and Connie Kontio contributed three hits.

In Class B, VFW trimmed Dave's Collision, 5-4, as Brandi Korpi went 3-for-4 and Nichole Williams slapped out two hits and drove in a run.

Kris Poirier collected three hits for Dave's.

Both Katie Rankinen (two homers) and Chelsey Robinson went 4-for-4 to power UP Rehab Services to a 16-5 victory over Willey's Tire Shop.

For Willey's, Jeannie Kangas (double) and Penny Kipling posted three hits each.

Jack's TeePee got a double and a triple from Gabby Croley, as well as four hits from Tina Maki, in a 13-10 win over Company B Graphics.

For Company B, Courtney Caliguri belted a grand slam and Tayler Gray hit a double.

Marina Nault hit two homers and Taryn Moyle one - along with a triple - as Tino's II crushed Jasper Ridge Brewery II, 24-6.

Jessica Koski hit a grand slam as Signs Unlimited whipped UP Off Road and Performance, 22-5, despite two hits (double) by Jessica Collins for the losers.

Sister's dumped Pasquali's, 8-2, behind a 3-for-3 plate performance by Linda Dompierre. Kelly Hebert added a triple, while Jaylyn Martin and Kimberly Nemetz contributed doubles.

Frannie Kelly went 3-for-4 (double) for Pasquali's.

In Class C, Sue Bazinette took the mound win as the Negaunee Eagles bested UP Fabricating, 19-4, despite a grand slam by Valerie Prusi.

Jean Kay's shaded Rookie's I, 7-6, as Ashley Wanhala hit two home runs and drove in five runs for the winners.

Martin Sports Apparel shelled Wooden Nickel, 25-9, as Sarah Massie went 4-for-5, including a homer. Victoria Powelson added two circuit clouts.

For Wooden Nickel, Kathy Zyble (triple) went 4-for-4 and Whitney Brugman 3-for-3.

Tanya Menard belted a homer, while teammates Carley Madgwick and Ashley Hiltunen added triples, as Chapper's Pub topped Eastwood, 12-10. Ellen Sundberg and Nicole Briggs hit home runs for Eastwood.

Palomaki Family Chiropractic turned back Country Lanes, 18-16, behind a home run by Kathy Gischia. Jen Flynn and Jen Quayle added triples for the winners.
