FC Central Select win division title in Wisconsin

A 3-1 shootout win over the FC Central Select gave the Marquette Soccer Academy U14 boys soccer team a division championship in the Eastbay Classic Soccer Tournament in Stevens Point, Wis., July 16-17. Colin Shinners, Kyle LeClaire and James Bruce notched shootout markers. Goalkeeper Kevin Priebe made some key stops in regulation and one in the shootout. The Marquette squad beat MC United 5-0, then lost to the FS Central Select team 6-0. A 3-1 triumph over De Pere (Wis.) Select and a 3-2 victory over Wausau (Wis.) United earned the local team with a rematch against FC Central Select in the finale. Marquette team members, in front row from left, were Dillon Robinia, Eric Gencheff, Luke Pap, Adam Skendzel and Bradley Seaborg.
