MOHAWK - Several local musicians are coming together to perform for a good cause in a music festival fundraiser.
Music will be presented in Mohawk Park Saturday and donations will be taken to help projects at the park, said Keweenaw County Sheriff Ron Lahti. Music will be presented from 3 to 9 p.m.
"We're going to have music by various bands and individuals," Lahti said.

Every year, two fundraisers are hosted by the Mohawk Park Improvements Committee, which aims to raise money for maintenance and improvements at the Mohawk Park and Ahmeek Ice Arena. Cabin Fever is held in the winter and during the summer, Music in the Park brings out crowds of people eager to hear local musicians. Lahti, who sings and plays guitar, often participates in the fundraisers as well.
"Last year, it was tied in with the sesquicentennial," Lahti said. "Last year, we built a pavilion. The funds help maintain the park or add to the park."
Concessions will be available at the park.
"There will be hot dogs and beverages," he said. "We're hoping there will be a lot of people there this year."
