MARQUETTE - A Knead to Read chair massage fundraiser will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday in the children's room at the Peter White Public Library. Certified massage therapists will provide 10-minute chair massages in exchange for a suggested $5 minimum donation. Proceeds will go to support the library's youth programs.
Knead to Read was conceived in 1998 by three certified massage therapists in Petoskey as way to give back to the community. Christine Simonetta, one of the program's founders, launched a Marquette chapter of Knead to Read in 2002.
