MARQUETTE - Increasing access to therapy services and giving patients the opportunity for care close to home are the goals of a new agreement between Marquette General Health System and U.P. Rehab Services, a company locally owned and managed by therapists.
Under the partnership, Marquette General Therapies, formerly Marquette General Outpatient Rehabilitation Services, will move out of Marquette General Hospital and be offered in the America Mall and at U.P. Sports Medicine & Therapy Center in Marquette, as well as in Negaunee, Escanaba and Gwinn. Each location will be staffed by U.P. Rehab Services.
The Marquette-based company currently provides rehabilitation services in seven Upper Peninsula counties.
