Lewis retires from BLP

Marquette Board of Light and Power Meter Department Supervisor Robert Lewis, center, retired July 1, following 30 years of service to the utility. Lewis, pictured with MBLP Chair Ed Angeli, left, and MBLP Executive Director Kirby Juntila, received a plaque and gift at a recent MBLP Board meeting. Following his service in the U.S. Navy, Lewis began his career at the MBLP as a shift assistant operator steam only, shift assistant operator steam and diesel, street lighting serviceman, meter man "A," meterman/electrician, meter foreman, and was promoted to meter department supervisor in December 1999, a position he held until his retirement.
