MARQUETTE - The Marquette Regional History Center and the Sands Model Airplane Club will present an educational adventure in flight from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the history center, located at 145 W. Spring St., Marquette. The program is open to guests age 7 and older; children ages 7-11 must be accompanied by an adult.
Participants will build their own glider using aeronautic techniques and witness a live demonstration of radio controlled airplanes and helicopters. Cost is $10, which includes materials and instruction needed to build your own glider.
Those who attend will be eligible for the advanced flying course scheduled for winter 2012. Registration for the advance course is limited. For more information, call 226-3571.
