MARQUETTE - Richard M. Jopling American Legion Post 44, 700 W. Bluff St., Marquette will host the American Legion Mid-Winter Conference Friday and Saturday, Jan. 21-22.
Registration begins at 1 p.m. Friday, with dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. and a joint opening session at 7 p.m., with committee meetings to follow. Musical entertainment will be provided at 9 p.m.
On Saturday, registration begins at 8 a.m., and coffee and rolls will be served. Activities at the post will include committee meetings, a Sons of the American Legion meeting, auxiliary and district meetings and lunch.
In addition, the Holiday Inn will host a service officers school, a past zone commanders lunch and a U.P. Association meeting. There will be a social hour from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the post, followed by a 6:30 p.m. banquet and entertainment at 9 p.m.
