The presenters included: Dr. Ross Siemers, Marquette General hematologist/oncologist; Dr. Shahar Madjar, Bell Hospital urologist; Dr. Andew Jahoda, MGH urologist; and Dr. Paul Thieme, MGH radiation oncologist.
Under the SHP affiliation format, MGH and Bell are able to pool physician specialist expertise to offer public outreach programs that will better inform upper Michigan residents and contribute to a healthier population.
Superior Health Partners is a formal affiliation between Marquette General and Bell hospitals. The affiliation was formalized in July, with community outreach a major priority.
The affiliation targets three central goals: Better access to healthcare, perpetually strengthening quality and building upon the region's healthcare jobs base.
Those attending the prostate health panel discussion came not only from Marquette County but Delta and Schoolcraft counties, as well.
