With a recall petition against Republic Township Clerk Vickie Skogman being circulated, tensions between members of the Republic Township Board ran high at Thursday’s regular meeting.
Skogman, who has been the clerk in Republic for 20 years, was censured by the board at its August meeting for “gross negligence and her inability to carry out her duties and her failure to complete her legal statutory and non-statutory duties,” according to the minutes from the August meeting.
