NEGAUNEE - Living in the Upper Peninsula, we're all used to the occasional winter storm or severe thunderstorm warning flashing across the bottom of the TV or over the radio station. But where do those warnings come from?
The answer is, of course, the National Weather Service.
Wednesday, area residents got a chance to learn more about what the NWS is and what it does during an open house at the office in Negaunee Township.
