MARQUETTE — It is no secret that times have been hard for the state of Michigan for the past few years. According to Gov. Jennifer Granholm, there is a path to a better economy, but it’s going to take some hard work.
Granholm was at Northern Michigan University Thursday speaking about diversifying the Michigan economy, now and for the future. She outlined a number of steps she hopes the next governor will take to keep the economy moving in the right direction. Education, green manufacturing and changing to adapt to a changing world are all things that Granholm said the state must do.
