ISHPEMING — A surplus in the Ishpeming Downtown Development Authority budget may allow the city to bond several million dollars for projects in the city’s downtown area.
The DDA held a joint meeting with the Ishpeming City Council Tuesday to discuss the potential for the city to pursue the bonds on behalf of the DDA, using the DDA’s budget surplus to cover the bond payments each year.
