NEGAUNEE — The Negaunee City Council has decided to put off ratification of the city hall workers contract until a permanent city manager is hired.
The action came following a short closed session at Thursday’s city council meeting. Negotiations on the labor contract have been ongoing for about a year and a half, with the negotiating process “done and over with,” according to AFSCME staff representative John Thomas.
