BIG BAY — From atop Eagle Rock in the middle of the Yellow Dog Plains, Gabriel Caplett looked down past the rock’s stone bluff toward the proposed site of the nickel and copper mine planned by Kennecott Eagle Minerals Company.
“It probably sounds corny but whenever I come up here ... you do feel calmer,” Caplett said. “When you sit yourself outside of a normal perspective, because you’re up higher, you sort of get that. I always feel really calm out here.”
