NEGAUNEE — The 26 miles that make up the typical marathon might seem like a long way to run.
Not for ultrarunners like Pam Reed. A 1979 graduate of Negaunee High School now living in Tucson, Ariz., Reed is an ultrarunner — regularly racing 100 miles and more. The races she’s run include the Badwater, a 135-mile trek from Death Valley to Mt. Whitney, Calif. in the middle of July.
