WHS BPA students qualify for states

ISHPEMING - Student members of the Westwood High School Chapter of Business Professionals of America recently competed at the 2009 Regional Leadership Conference at Bay de Noc College in Escanaba with hundreds of other business students from the Upper Peninsula.

The top four in individual events and the top two in team events qualify to compete at the State Leadership Conference March 18-22 in Grand Rapids.

State qualifiers include Josh Adriano, first in Economic Research Project-Individual; Allexus Balconi, fourth in Legal Office Procedures; Charlotte Bissonnette, first in Web Site Design Team and fourth in Graphic Design Promotion; Taylor Blewett, third in both Database Applications and Integrated Office Applications; Elizabeth Brown, first in Presentation Management-Individual and third in Payroll Accounting; Alyssa Chapman, second in Legal Office Procedures and fourth in Fundamental Word Processing Skills; Kayla Chapman, first in Administrative Support Team and second in Advanced Office Systems & Procedures; Abby Fredrickson, first in both Advanced Office Systems & Procedures and Medical Office Procedures and third in Financial Math & Analysis; Matthew From, first in both Computer Security and Digital Media Production; Natalie Hampton, second in Fundamental Word Processing Skills; Mindy Harrington, first in both Banking & Finance and Keyboarding Production; Nicole Hebert, first in Web Site Design Team and second in Graphic Design Promotion; Kaylee McIntyre, fourth in Administrative Support Research Project-Individual; Krista Musselman, second in Medical Office Procedures and fourth in Advanced Office Systems & Procedures; Angela Olgren, first in Administrative Support Research Project-Individual and fourth in Human Resource Management; Rebecca Powelson, first in Administrative Support Team and third in both Administrative Support Concepts and Advanced Word Processing Skills; Victoria Powelson, first in Administrative Support Team; Meghan Racine, first in Advanced Word Processing Skills and third in Prepared Speech; Matt Wiese, first in Web Site Design Team; Erik Wisuri, first in both Database Applications and Web Site Design Team and second in Administrative Support Concepts; and Jeff Wood, second in Human Resource Management.
