Marquette Senior High School graduate Patrick Stuart, left, accepts the Mildred Halverson Scholarship for $1,000 from Joe Baczkowski, Marquette Lions Club scholarship chairman. Each year the Marquette Lions Club looks for students who plan to continue their education in vision sciences, special education or pediatrics. The son of Paul and Kathleen Stuart of Marquette, Stuart will be attending Northern Michigan University's pre-health care program with the goal of continuing at Ferris State University to earn a doctorate in either optometry or pharmacy.
