Game 2 is Saturday in Marquette. Puck drops both nights at 7:35 p.m.
For a complete look at what awaits this weekend, check out the Inside 1401 Sports Blog’s NMU Hockey Series Snapshot.
The Wildcats have a number of players out due to injury, including junior forward Jake Johnson (foot), senior forward Kory Kaunisto (shoulder), freshman forward Darren Nowick (hand) and sophomore defenseman Jake Baker (head).
That opens the door for sophomore transfer Nate Taurence to make his first collegiate start for NMU. Ryan Kesti will also be hoping up to the third line and the defensive corps is seeing a bit of a shakeup from it’s traditional pairings.
